Hog Roast Tickhill had lots of fun catering for a corporate Christmas party earlier in the month! Our client was a small business owner named Steven, who had hired us to serve our Full Festive Menu at his annual Xmas get-together recently.
His staff had been looking forward to this event for weeks – especially after hearing that Hog Roast Tickhill would be treating them to one of our best-loved meal plans. So, when our crew arrived on-site, they were met with a very warm welcome from everyone!
Steven had asked our team to set up our equipment in the private car park at the back of the building as there wasn’t enough room inside for our apparatus. This wasn’t a problem at all, and after parking around the back, Hog Roast Tickhill’s team quickly emptied our catering van and began setting up the equipment beneath our gazebo, which protected them from the bitterly cold winds while they worked on preparing the festive lunch. Steven had also asked us to include one of our marquees in the booking, so our team set one up and filled it with dining furniture.
While the temperature remained in the single digits all morning, our team could hardly feel the cold thanks to the warmth that radiated from the pig as it slow-roasted over a low flame. As the meat cooked, it took on a gorgeous golden-brown colour, and the skin hardened into a perfect layer of bubbling crackling.
It felt like hardly any time at all had passed when Steven and his staff ventured outside to enjoy the festive lunch! Hog Roast Tickhill was ready to greet them with the beautifully cooked hog roast, which had been carved to reveal moist and succulent meat, which contrasted with the crispy crackling.
The hog roast was paired with stuffing and applesauce on a plate, and the guests were free to help themselves to the range of side options, which consisted of cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, a medley of glazed seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and homemade gravy.
Steven and his team were in their element as they dined on our expertly-cooked food! Rounding off the successful event, Hog Roast Tickhill served non-alcoholic mulled wine, hot drinks and homemade mince pies with warm brandy cream.
