It’s also a great place to let your inner child run free since fancy dress and roleplaying are actively encouraged in the community. And if you’re looking for niche memorabilia? Well, say no more because you’re sure to find something to your taste on sale at one of the many stalls!
Speaking of taste, these activity-fuelled events can leave you feeling famished after just a few hours, which is why event planners always do their best to make sure that guests have access to food on-site. And because hog roasts are ideal for eating while on the go, Hog Roast Rossington is often asked to handle the catering for events like this.
Just last weekend, we were invited to attend a comic book convention, which was held just outside of our usual vicinity. Our catering manager, Steven and the rest of the Hog Roast Rossington team didn’t mind making the journey – they were just excited to help the client create an unforgettable experience for the 500 guests who had purchased tickets for the event.
With so mouths to feed, Steven had opted to keep things simple with our Classic Hog Roast Menu, as he knew this would allow our team to get through the crowds quickly and easily without delay. But so as to be fair to our plant-based punters, he also made sure to include a vegan-friendly option of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls on the menu.
As the inside of the venue was packed full and the event had spilt out into the vestibule, the Hog Roast Rossington team had decided to prepare the lunch menu outside since the weather was lovely. So, under the shade of the gazebo, the team cooked up our famous hog roast rolls with crackling, stuffing and applesauce, which were an instant hit with the guests.
Despite the fact everyone wanted a taste of what Hog Roast Rossington was offering, our team kept a cool head and managed to serve everyone rapidly and efficiently, allowing them to go back to enjoying the event quickly.
