Hog Roast Ackworth Had A Splendid Time At A Long-Awaited Vow Renewal!

Hog Roast Ackworth handled a very special request recently! But before we dive into the details, let’s first rewind the clock back two decades – to the summer of 2002. It was a boiling hot day in Doncaster, and 20-year-old lovebirds, Jack and Beth, celebrated their young romance by tying the knot in a small ceremony.

Being as young as they were, though, everything had been organised on a shoestring budget. It was still an amazing day, and the couple had a blast, but Jack vowed to give Beth the wedding of her dreams one day. And that day finally arrived on Sunday when after twenty years of being happily married, the high school sweethearts renewed their wedding vows on the grounds of an impressive manor home that was nestled away in the countryside.

For Jack and Beth, getting their vows renewed was a hugely important point in their relationship as it illustrated just how far they had come together as a couple. So naturally, they wanted to celebrate the day properly. All of their friends and family had been invited to help them mark the special occasion, and Hog Roast Ackworth had been called in to serve our Formal Wedding Catering Menu, which matched the tone of the day perfectly.

Steven, our catering manager, was in charge of this divine spread, which was served in the perfectly manicured lawn and began with a selection of five beautifully crafted canapĂ© options. These flavour-packed appetisers were served to the guests as they arrived at the reception, and once everyone was comfortably seated at the tables, our waiting staff presented them with the starter – a delicious heritage tomato and beetroot carpaccio.

Hog Roast Ackworth Spit-roasted English lamb, free-range chicken and grilled vegetable skewers closely followed the first course, and these were served with a choice of salads, dauphinoise potatoes and gourmet coleslaw, which the guests thoroughly enjoyed sinking their teeth into. Last but not least, Hog Roast Ackworth’s caterers served sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake desserts, whilst Steven did the honours of slicing and dressing the wedding cake in fresh cream and berries, which he served as a buffet for the guests to help themselves.

Though formal, the day was very relaxing and enjoyable for everyone who attended Jack and Beth’s vow renewal, and Hog Roast Ackworth especially had a fantastic time working at this event!
