Hog Roast Bawtry Handled A Birthday Party For Twins!

Hog Roast BawtryTwins Esme and Zara turned 10 on Saturday, and to celebrate the wonderful occasion, their parents, Thomas and Marie, had arranged a wild birthday party for them.

The twins were allowed to invite 30 people to the monumental get-together, which went ahead at a nearby wildlife park. And given the girls’ love of animals, this was the perfect place for them to celebrate their special day!

Esme, Zara and their guests spent the entire morning exploring the park and all of its amazing animals. They were given exclusive access to the petting zoo section and were able to ask the keepers lots of questions about the animals in their care, which was an amazing experience in itself.

The kids also made the most of the play areas, which allowed them to channel their inner cheeky monkeys by swinging from ropes, clambering to the top of climbing frames and sliding down chutes.

After their action-packed morning, the kids were, of course, ravenous. So it’s a good thing that Hog Roast Bawtry was hired to take care of the food at this event!

Hog Roast BawtryOur team, led by our experienced catering manager, Steven, made sure to arrive at the venue well in advance of the serving time. This meant that by the time the group had finished touring the park and snapping photos of the animals in their enclosures, the food was ready to be served.

At the client’s request, we served Hog Roast Bawtry’s ever-popular Gourmet BBQ Menu at this event, which the kids loved! The group had the option of delicious chicken kebabs, BBQ spareribs, handmade 100% British beef burger sliders with melting cheese, or our chef’s own gourmet sausages, which we served on hot dog buns with ketchup and mustard.

Macaroni and cheese, mixed sweet potato and regular fries and Greek salad were also on the menu, alongside a vegan-friendly option of BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls with creamy plant-based ‘slaw. The main course was followed up with a slice of red velvet birthday cake, which Hog Roast Bawtry sliced and dressed with fresh cream and berries.

We’re really pleased with how smoothly this event went, and we’re thrilled that everyone had wonderful things to say about the food on offer!
