Neil is currently in the process of organising a ‘winter warmer’ event for his local community group in Doncaster. The event is being hosted as a way for people to enjoy a delicious meal, some good company, and a nice warm venue to relax and unwind in. For the catering, he has contacted our catering manager Steven to discuss menu options. In particular, Neil is wanting something that will be enjoyed by all of the guests and is especially comforting on a cold January evening. After looking through our menus, it was decided that a classic hog roast is ideal for the occasion, along with a few extras to ensure that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This event is taking place at a local community centre at the end of January, so the Hog Roast Skelbrooke team are currently working on finalising the menu. We have planned to provide a delicious hog roast as the main dish, served sliced in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. The rolls will then be accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and delicious crispy crackling. As well as the hog, we will also be serving succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages to ensure that there is something for every guest to enjoy. As well as the variety of mains, we will also be providing homemade chips, seasonal salad dishes, sweet potato fries, and crunchy coleslaw, to create a varied and delicious evening buffet.
